Music has been part of Karen’s life from an early age, starting with both piano lessons and singing in choruses beginning in second grade and including about 10 years as an organist/choir director. Originally from Ohio and Indiana, she and her husband have made New Bern their home for the past 20 years. Their family includes two grown children, a dog, a cat and assorted tropical fish.

   After careers in both advertising and travel/tourism, Karen is now an active volunteer for various community organizations. She loves the opportunity to share the joy of singing with her new friends and the New Bern area.
