Mabel has been singing since middle school and loved music so much, she earned a degree in Music Education; she is now the Choral Director at the Epiphany School of Global Studies. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Mabel and her husband stumbled upon New Bern, thanks to the Marine Corps. They loved New Bern so much that they decided to stick around for a while.

      Mabel had hoped to get involved in the New Bern music and theater community and get back into performing after her first year of teaching, but was faced with an obstacle in the form of a pandemic. Now that things have settled down again, she is thrilled to be able to sing with the Silver Lining Singers and is excited to be able to sing and perform with such talented gals.
